Job summary

Johnson Hyundai of Apex is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead the Sales Department and drive performance. You will coach and develop the team, maintain CRM discipline, and ensure a superior customer experience from first contact to delivery.

You will partner with Finance, Service, and dealership leadership to set sales goals, monitor activity, and optimize processes that improve closing rates, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive retail sales with proven success.
• Previous sales management or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dealership operations and sales processes.
• Experience structuring and desk­ing automotive transactions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Ability to interpret sales reports and act on metrics.
• CRM proficiency and lead management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the sales team to goals.
• Maintain presence on the sales floor with real-time coaching.
• Conduct deal reviews and structure profitable transactions.
• Collaborate with Sales Consultants to advance opportunities.
• Monitor activity, leads, follow-up, and KPIs.
• Ensure CRM usage and adherence to processes.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention of the team.
• Partner with Finance & Insurance to smooth delivery.
• Maintain inventory awareness and pricing considerations.
• Drive customer satisfaction and resolve concerns with leadership.
