Job summary

Westbrook Honda in Connecticut is hiring Sales Representatives to join our expanding team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and delivering excellent customer service, this role could be for you.

Our team has a long track record of success, with training provided and a collaborative culture. Compensation is base pay plus commission, with ongoing coaching, bonuses, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• At least one year of Honda sales experience preferred.
• Willing to work on commission-based compensation.
• Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales day.
• Must have a clean and valid driver's license.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Approach, greet, and assist customers entering the dealership showroom or sales lot.
• Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
• Explain product performance, options, and benefits to prospects.
• Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
• Build rapport with customers and perform demonstrations of vehicles.
• Close sales and report objectives and activities to management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
• Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
• Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
• Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
• Build strong rapport with customers.
• Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles.
• Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards.
• Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least one year of Honda sales experience preferred, but not required.
• Comfortable with compensation based on commission sales
• Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales workday
• Outgoing with a friendly personality, especially while handling objections & negotiating pricing
• Must have a clean & valid driver’s license
• Must be willing to submit to a background check to employment.
