Swope Family of Dealerships in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking an Automotive Sales Associate. This full-time role operates on a day shift with a commission-based structure and an initial training guarantee. You will guide guests through vehicle purchases, explain options, and help transition customers to service for their ownership experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests to guide vehicle purchases by asking questions and listening.
• Guide guests through next steps: appraisal, test drives, finance, service; explain options.
• Use communication skills to negotiate terms and close deals.
• Deliver a minimum number of vehicles each month.
• Prepare sold vehicles for delivery before guest arrival.
• Deliver vehicles and explain features, warranty, and paperwork.
• Provide an exceptional experience to drive loyalty with post-delivery follow-up.
• Refer customers to Service departments for ownership needs.
• Assist with inventory display and keep keys organized.
• Complete manufacturer training to become a Certified Product Specialist.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As an Automotive Sales Associate you will:

• Interact with guests to help guide them in their vehicle purchase, asking questions and listening carefully.


• Proactively consult and guide guests to the appropriate next step in the sales process, i.e. vehicle appraisal process, test drives, finance applications and service. Describe all optional equipment and accessories available for guests purchase, explain in detail product features and benefits.


• Use outstanding communication and listening skills to help negotiate terms that ensure payment options meet your guests’ lifestyles, budgets, and expectations; close the deal.


• Deliver a minimum number of vehicles each month.


• Prepare sold vehicles for guest delivery prior to guest arrival.


• Deliver vehicles to guests, ensuring that they understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork.


• Provide an exceptional experience, driving loyalty by regularly following up to ensure guest satisfaction.


• Help transition guest to our Service departments to support their ownership experience, selling the quality and convenience of service repairs and/or aftermarket parts and accessories available in the service departments.


• Assist in maintenance of inventory display and organization of all keys to keep the experience as smooth as possible.


• Complete training with manufacturer to become a Certified Product Specialist.


• Any additional responsibilities per management request.

This is a commission based sales job. You will have an initial guarantee during training period.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide an exceptional guest experience.


• Drive to set targeted personal income goals consistent with company standards of productivity.


• Proven ability to exceed established automotive sales and guest service goals.


• Excellent communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.


• Strong telephone and technology skills. Including; computers, smart phones, and social media.


• The willingness to follow up, and follow-up again, with guests.


• Strong desire and aptitude for continuing growth opportunities. Willingness to follow assigned word tracks & techniques as demonstrated in both training sessions and guest interaction.


• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.


• All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing to include a background check and drug screen.
