Job summary

Genuine Parts Company (GPC) invites applications for an Assistant Store Manager at our NAPA retail store. The role blends automotive knowledge, customer service excellence, and hands-on operations leadership to guide daily store performance and service delivery.

You will support the Store Manager across all tasks, maintain high standards, coach associates, and handle keyholder duties including opening and closing procedures while maintaining safety and inventory controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in automotive after-market or related fields preferred.
• Strong leadership, customer care, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of cataloging/inventory systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, and scheduling.
• Sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Lead opening/closing routines, cash reconciliation, and store readiness.
• Provide coaching and performance management for store staff.
• Monitor store metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
