Genuine Parts Company (GPC) is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its NAPA retail store in California. You will support the Store Manager across operations, counter sales, inventory, deliveries, and field leadership while maintaining active customer-facing sales responsibilities.

The role emphasizes coaching, process adherence, and development toward Store Manager, with overtime and keyholder responsibilities possible based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the automotive aftermarket or willingness to learn automotive concepts.
• Leadership experience and ability to coach a team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager on daily operations and sales execution.
• Oversee inventory health, scheduling, and team performance.
• Sell and build relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Execute opening/closing routines, cash reconciliation and security checks.
• Provide coaching and performance management for store staff.
• Support talent development and safety/compliance initiatives.
