Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the United States to apply automotive knowledge, customer service, operational and leadership skills to run our retail store and help NAPA become the dominant parts supplier in the market. The role supports the Store Manager across all store functions, maintains active customer-facing duties, and coaches team members.

It is designed as a developmental pathway toward becoming a Store Manager, with potential overtime and keyholder

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the automotive after-market service industry or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor/scheduling alignment, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Execute opening and closing routines (security, cash reconciliation, end-of-day reporting).
• Monitor and act on store metrics (sales, inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, labor efficiency).
• Provide leadership oversight, training and performance management for store functions.
• Drive adherence to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
