Job summary

NAPA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help operate a busy auto parts store with a strong focus on customer service, inventory integrity, and team leadership. You will support the Store Manager across all functions while maintaining active sales responsibilities and a hands-on approach to daily tasks.

The role emphasizes coaching staff, managing opening/closing routines, and ensuring timely, accurate operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in the automotive aftermarket or willingness to learn is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership experience is required.
• Ability to lift and move parts up to 60 lbs.
• Familiarity with cataloging and inventory systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager on daily operations, sales, inventory, and staffing.
• Lead and coach team members to ensure high standards in customer service and store execution.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash reconciliation, and end-of-day reporting.
• Monitor store metrics and drive continuous improvement in safety, loss prevention, and housekeeping.
• Provide training and performance feedback to staff to support career development.
