Job summary

Belle Tire is seeking an Assistant Manager in Traverse City to support the Store Manager in leading daily operations, driving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will help develop team members and deliver a premium customer experience across the store, with hands-on leadership and weekend/shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience in a retail or related customer-facing environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive sales, and deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Financial literacy and comfort with operational reporting and performance metrics.
• Proficiency in POS systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coach, develop, and motivate the store team.
• Lead by example and foster accountability and engagement.
• Conduct team huddles with real-time coaching.
• Act as manager on duty in the Store Manager's absence.
• Drive Belle Tire's 6-Step Sales Process to build trust and satisfaction.
• Engage with customers to identify needs and close sales.
• Support sales across product lines, including commercial and national accounts.
• Monitor customer feedback and maintain service standards.
• Oversee daily store operations, including scheduling and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety procedures.
• Communicate and execute company initiatives.
• Manage vendor relationships and product availability.
• Assist with P&L by tracking sales and expenses.
• Analyze reports to identify improvements.
• Help achieve store goals and maintain accurate reporting.
• Serve as Culture Champion and promote inclusive environment.
• Lead by example to boost morale and brand pride.
