Job summary

The Oakwood Group is seeking a Quality Technician (Safety Plastics) in Taylor, MI, on a 2nd shift for onsite work. You will support production quality activities, maintain quality tools and records, and assist with validations and PPAP requirements.

The ideal candidate has a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience, with basic metrology skills, GD&T knowledge, and familiarity with automotive QA tools such as MSA, PPAP, Control Plan, PFMEA, and SPC.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in Quality.
• ASQ Quality Technician Certification or similar preferred.
• Experience with automotive quality tools (MSA, PPAP, Control Plan, PFMEA, SPC).
• Basic metrology and GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute quality tools related to inspection, SPC, problem-solving, and calibration.
• Coordinate customer-required validations and PPAP submissions.
• Manage nonconforming material and log dispositions.
• Lead gage calibration and MSA activities; maintain gage records.
• Support internal and supplier quality issue resolution.
