Job summary

AKWEL in Cadillac, MI is seeking a Project Quality Engineer to drive quality planning and execution on automotive projects. You will support the Project Manager, gather PPAPs, and lead audits per the QSE²MS framework.

Excellent collaboration with product, process engineering, and supplier teams is essential. English proficiency is required; other languages are a plus. This role is on site in Cadillac, MI with a focus on customer and supplier quality management.

Qualifications

• Superior technical education and/or quality training with 3+ years of automotive experience.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of other customer languages is a plus.
• Ability to operate within QSE²MS framework and Audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensures deployment of AKWEL requirements on projects.
• Supports the Project Manager to define the Quality Plan.
• Executes PQE tasks per the quality plan (audits, PPAP collection).
• Participates in project reviews and aligns statements with status.
• Contributes to QRQC and risk alert activities.
• Implements quality tools and QSE²MS across the project.
• Prepares and participates in customer assessments or visits.
