Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Quality Engineer to join a leading automotive manufacturer's Market Quality team. This role focuses on hands-on problem solving, root cause analysis, vehicle testing, and cross-functional collaboration to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

You will investigate real-world vehicle and component failures, analyze warranty trends, and help drive corrective actions that improve future vehicle performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 0-6 years of engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in automotive systems and vehicle quality.

Responsibilities

• Investigate failed warranty parts and vehicle concerns through testing, analysis, and hands-on evaluation.
• Recreate and simulate failure conditions to identify root causes and contributing factors.
• Analyze quality concerns related to design, manufacturing, supplier performance, and service operations.
• Present technical findings and recommendations to engineering and quality leadership.
• Collaborate with suppliers, design engineers, manufacturing teams, and service organizations to implement corrective actions.
• Support containment activities and long-term quality improvements.
• Utilize warranty data and technical analysis to support cost recovery efforts.
