Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking a Quality Engineer to coordinate and implement advanced quality systems for new automotive programs. You will lead APQP processes, PPAP submissions, and collaborate with suppliers to meet stringent blueprints and GD&T standards.

The role requires a BS in a technical field, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with 8D, SPC, DOE, and data analysis. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A. degree; technical field preferred.
• ASQ CQA or CQE certification preferred.
• In special circumstances, candidates with substantial manufacturing experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates checking and testing per customer blueprint for new programs.
• Verifies and interprets blueprint specifications.
• Submits all required documents for sample submission and approvals.
• Establishes program FMEAs, control plans, test and inspection instructions.
• Travels to customer facilities to support programs and address issues.
• Investigates warranty concerns and coordinates corrective actions.
• Gage design review, approval, and implementation.
• Participates in supplier selection and audits.
• Leads or supports Six Sigma projects as assigned.
