Job summary

Magna Exteriors seeks a Product Engineer to apply engineering principles to the design and development of exterior automotive components. You will support full lifecycle from concept through launch, collaborating with program management, manufacturing, design and suppliers to ensure feasibility and quality.

The role requires 3–5 years in product development within automotive manufacturing, CAD experience (CATIA/NX), and knowledge of GD&T and DFMEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of product development processes in automotive environments.
• Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA or NX.
• Understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM principles.
• Knowledge of APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R and structured problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Support full product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Provide engineering direction during design reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze design problems and develop engineering solutions.
• Coordinate prototype builds and tooling development.
• Support material selection and optimization during development.
• Manage project timing, engineering deliverables, and cost tracking.
• Review CAD models and drawings for manufacturability and fit.
