Job summary

Magna International Limited’s Magna Exteriors division in the United States seeks a quality professional to support supplier quality and PPAP processes. This role requires coordinating with suppliers to meet design and customer requirements and to uphold the Decostar quality system.

You will review PPAPs, analyze issues, and drive corrective actions while ensuring cross-functional teamwork and adherence to the IATF16949 framework.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in quality assurance with supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of IATF-16949 is preferred and the ability to become certified.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
• Knowledge of AIAG core tools (FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA).
• GD&T knowledge and ability to manage multiple suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure suppliers successfully launch incoming purchased components and maintain quality per design and customer requirements.
• Communicate SQM and PPAP requirements to suppliers and ensure compliance with Decostar control plans.
• Review and approve supplier PPAPs and trials, and initiate corrective actions as required.
• Investigate assembly component issues and root cause against supplier PPAP and design documentation.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal customers on quality concerns and document cost impacts.
• Visit suppliers to address quality spills and ensure effective corrective actions.
