Job summary

Ground Effects LLC in Flint, MI seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee the production of world class auto parts installed on vehicles. You will ensure output meets quality plans, schedules staffing, and maintains a safe, compliant work environment.

You will coordinate with plant management, supervise on-floor activities, enforce IATF16949 and OSHA policies, manage FIFO, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring proper tagging and material handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Preferred: Further education considered an asset.
• One to three years of experience as a production lead or supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive manufacturing background is a plus.
• Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO 14001 and OSHA requirements preferred but training provided.
• Must be team oriented with excellent communication and strong computer skills.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to provide visibility on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staffing to meet production build schedules while ensuring quality product and safe operations.
• Maintain communication with Plant Management to coordinate efficient daily operations and enforce attendance/disciplina ry policies.
• Provide support to the production team and address areas of concern.
• Ensure all work in process is properly tagged and that materials are handled and stored correctly.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and notify maintenance for issues.
• Enforce FIFO where appropriate to meet customer needs and compliance with procedures.
• Oversee adherence to IATF16949 and OSHA safety policies and environmental programs.
• Lead on-floor presence and model safe, compliant behavior.
• Other duties as assigned.
