Job summary

Aerotek seeks a Production Supervisor for Flint Assembly to lead a high-volume automotive operation. You will guide daily manufacturing activities, emphasize safety, quality, and cost targets, and develop hourly teams in a fast-paced unionized setting.

You will champion lean practices, support launch and pilot activities, and ensure adherence to quality standards while managing change and cross-functional teams across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in manufacturing leadership; 2+ years supervising hourly teams.
• Experience in a unionized, automotive/high-volume setting.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and variation reduction.
• Ability to manage schedules, quality, and cost targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations and adjust plans to meet schedules.
• Drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Oversee inspections, problem-solving, and built-in quality initiatives.
• Train and develop hourly team members and sustain high performance.
• Coach leaders to promote consistent management practices.
• Support GMS processes and launch/pilot activities.
• Apply lean methods to prevent recurrence of issues and improve flow.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and labor agreements.
• Maintain safe, organized, hazard-free work environment.
• Address operational issues with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
