Job summary

Napleton Auto Group in Schaumburg is seeking an energetic Automotive Porter to welcome customers and move vehicles safely. You will help with arrivals, departures and deliveries, maintaining a neat lot and coordinating with the service team.

The role is an in‑person position within a union shop (Teamsters Local 731). Strong communication and a customer‑friendly attitude are essential, with preference for experience driving manual transmissions and bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• In-person / on-site position.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport vehicles between parking lots, service drive, and dealership floors.
• Assist customers with arrivals and departures, providing a welcoming experience.
• Maintain organized parking areas and direct vehicles to designated spots.
• Deliver vehicles for appointments, test drives, and customer delivery to support service staff.
• Communicate clearly with team and customers to coordinate vehicle movements.
• Keep service drive and lot clean, presentable, and hazard‑free.
• Uphold company safety standards when moving vehicles and interacting with guests.

Napleton's Schaumburg Buick GMC is looking for an energetic, reliable, and customer-friendly Automotive Porter to join our team. As a Porter, you are often the first point of contact for our customers — your positive attitude and professionalism set the tone for the entire dealership experience. This is a Teamsters Local 731 union shop; union membership is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport vehicles between the parking lot, service drive, and dealership floors, including vehicles with manual transmissions
• Assist customers with vehicle arrivals and departures, providing a welcoming and professional experience
• Maintain organized parking areas, directing vehicles to designated spots and managing lot space efficiently
• Support service department staff by delivering vehicles for appointments, test drives, and customer delivery
• Communicate clearly with team members and customers to coordinate vehicle movements
• Keep the service drive and lot clean, presentable, and hazard‑free
• Uphold all company safety standards and policies when moving vehicles and interacting with guests

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus
• Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are an advantage
• Customer service‑oriented mindset with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, outdoor/indoor environment
