Job summary

TekWissen LLC is seeking an Automotive PLC Controls Engineer for an onsite 12-month temporary assignment in Georgetown, KY. The role covers electrical design on stamping presses and automation upgrades, including HMI, PLC, Safety PLC, hardware layouts, and full line commissioning.

Responsibilities include creating and verifying HMI/PLC programs, hardware layout development, risk assessments, and supervising field projects. Strong PLC programming with Rockwell, Mitsubishi, or Siemens is required.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
AutoCAD Electrical experience required.
PLC programming experience (Rockwell, Mitsubishi and Siemens preferred).
Electrical hardware design and modification experience.

Responsibilities

HMI Design: Create and modify GP-pro programs on Proface hardware and verify during buyoffs.
PLC Design: Create/modify PLC programs on Allen-Bradley, Siemens hardware and verify during buyoffs.
Safety PLC Design: Create/modify Safety PLC programs for Allen-Bradley/Siemens hardware; verify during buyoffs; create hardware layouts.
Panel Layouts: Create/modify Panel Layouts with AutoCAD Electrical; perform risk assessments.
Field Device Layouts: Create/modify layouts; supervise installation and ensure buyoffs.
Full Line Commissioning: Provide PLC, Electrical, and Mechanical support before, during, and after installation.
