Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure plastic injection molded parts meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirements. You will support production, engineering, and suppliers while collaborating with OEMs and Tier 1 customers.

The role emphasizes IATF 16949 compliance, PPAP, and root cause analysis using 8D/5-Why methodologies in a fast-paced automotive plastics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent 5 years of experience).
• 2–5 years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
• Experience with SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and PPAP.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5-Why).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality systems for assigned projects.
• Lead and/or participate in SPC implementation and discipline.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
• Support audits and corrective action responses with customers and suppliers.
• Maintain adherence to Control Plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Support manufacturing operations for plastic injection molding processes.
