Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure plastic injection molded components meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirements. You will support production, engineering, and suppliers by applying automotive quality tools, driving corrective actions, and maintaining IATF 16949 compliance.

The role involves direct interaction with OEMs and Tier 1 customers, leading SPC, PFMEA, APQP/PPAP activities, and ongoing process improvements on the manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality or related field (or equivalent 5 years).
  • Minimum 2-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and quality tools.
  • Experience with SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quality system for projects assigned.
  • Lead or participate in implementation and discipline of SPC.
  • Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Support audits and corrective action responses with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Ensure adherence to Control Plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Lead problem solving using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone methodologies.
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and scrap reduction.
  • Prepare PPAP documentation and ensure qualifications meet requirements.
