Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking a hands-on Plant General Manager to lead a major automotive manufacturing operation, overseeing production, quality, safety, and delivery.

The ideal candidate has proven plant leadership in complex automotive settings, strong financial management, and expertise in Lean, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and continuous improvement. You will develop teams and deliver sustainable improvements in quality, cost, and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven experience leading a complex manufacturing plant or major operation.
• Track record of improving quality, cost, delivery, safety, productivity, and profitability.
• Working knowledge of automotive quality and launch methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans).
• Strong Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement background.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for plant operations across production, quality, engineering, maintenance, safety, delivery, and cost.
• Develop and execute strategies aligned to company objectives and customer requirements.
• Ensure plant meets quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Maintain ISO compliance and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, problem-solving, and standard work.
• Establish and manage KPIs and financial performance (annual operating plan, budget, forecasts).
• Oversee plant P&L, cost control, labor efficiency, inventory, and productivity.
• Lead new product launches and respond to customer quality issues and escalations.
