Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking an experienced Plant General Manager to lead a major automotive manufacturing operation in Lexington, KY. The role oversees production, quality, safety, delivery, cost, engineering, and continuous improvement to meet customer and company objectives.

Ideal candidates have hands-on leadership, a track record of operational improvements, and in-depth knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and automotive quality processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and proven leadership of a complex manufacturing operation.
• Demonstrated track record delivering improvements in quality, cost, delivery and profitability.
• Experience with automotive quality and launch methodologies (APQP/PPAP/FMEA).
• Strong Lean/continuous improvement background and plant-level financial management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for plant operations across production, quality, engineering, maintenance and safety.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with customer requirements and growth.
• Ensure quality, delivery, productivity, cost and customer satisfaction targets are met.
• Maintain ISO compliance and customer-specific quality systems.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and standard work.
• Monitor KPIs, manage annual operating plan and plant P&L.
• Oversee new product launches and automotive program activities.
• Foster a high-performing, accountable organization with strong teamwork.
