Job summary

Ashton North LLC seeks a hands-on Plant General Manager to lead a major automotive manufacturing facility. You will direct production, quality, safety, and delivery while driving continuous improvement and cost control to meet customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has proven plant leadership, strong Lean and quality systems knowledge, and a track record of delivering sustainable improvements in profitability and performance in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Proven experience leading a complex manufacturing plant or major operation.
Track record of measurable improvements in quality, cost, delivery, safety, productivity, and profitability.
Working knowledge of automotive quality and launch methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans).
Strong Lean and continuous improvement background.
Experience leading new product launches in automotive.
Understanding of plant-level financial management, budgeting, and P&L.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for plant operations across production, quality, engineering, maintenance, materials, safety, and cost.
Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives and customer requirements.
Ensure quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets are met.
Maintain ISO compliance and automotive quality systems.
Drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving initiatives across functions.
Monitor KPIs and manage the plant's annual operating plan and budget.
Oversee new product launches and customer program launches.
