Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high-level service to retail and installer customers in a store environment. You will assist store management with tasks, answer phones, lookup parts, and promote customer-service programs.

The role involves cash handling, returns processing, and in-store service tasks such as wipers, batteries, and problem diagnostics as trained. Occasional delivery duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists with professional customers as needed.
• Answer calls, look up parts and quote prices, and offer related items.
• Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions per policy.
• Process exchanges/returns and resolve customer complaints.
• Perform daily in-store operations and test equipment as trained.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when required.
• All other duties as assigned.
