Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high-level service to retail and installer customers in Morris, IL. You will assist management, handle transactions, process returns, and support stock and planogram tasks.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, multitasking ability, and familiarity with automotive parts. ASE certification is a plus, and bilingual abilities are valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs.
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving the professional customers as needed and directed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone by answering all calls according to company policy, accurately looking up parts and quote prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept payments, and process transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit per policies.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily image maker, planogram updates, and stock tasks.
• Perform various daily operational tasks and inventory activities.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Perform in-store services for customers (where allowed by law).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
