Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts seeks a Parts Specialist to deliver high-level customer service to retail and installer customers and to support store management with assigned tasks. Bilingual applicants are encouraged.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, handling cash and credit transactions, processing exchanges/returns, and performing daily store operations such as stocking and planogram updates. Training and in-store services are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Promote and follow company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, etc.).
• Assist managers and installer service specialists for professional customers.
• Handle cash, checks, credit transactions, and secure the cash drawer.
• Process exchanges/returns in accordance with policy and resolve complaints.
• Support daily store operations: stocking, planograms, image maker, and freight receipt.
• Operate brake lathe or store test equipment after training.
• Provide in-store services (e.g., wipers, batteries, diagnostic checks) as allowed by law.
