Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high levels of service to retail and installer customers. The role supports store management and requires excellent customer service, multitasking, and knowledge of automotive parts.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, handling transactions, processing returns, resolving complaints, and performing in-store servicing tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Support managers and installer service specialists for professional customers.
• Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions securely.
• Process exchanges and returns per policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with stock, planogram updates, and in-store servicing tasks.
• Perform in-store services (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan codes) when required.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
