Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Groton, CT is seeking a delivery driver to pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers and to pickup returns and cores. You will assist in upselling and cross-selling, promote loyalty programs, and collect daily credit accounts.

Focus on building relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, maintaining clean stores, stocking, and staying knowledgeable about new arrivals. You will work with customers to identify needs and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Automotive parts experience preferred.
• Read and interpret safety rules and parts catalogs.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot.
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts.
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
• Other duties as assigned
