Job summary

Bob Bell Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Parts Counterperson to assist customers across retail, wholesale, and service departments with parts inquiries and purchases. You will source parts using manufacturer catalogs and dealership software, and ensure accurate orders and timely availability.

The ideal candidate has automotive parts knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining inventory integrity and customer service

Qualifications

• Previous automotive parts experience preferred.
• GM / Chevrolet experience preferred.
• CDK experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail, wholesale, and service department customers with parts inquiries and purchases.
• Promptly greet customers and technicians and provide exceptional customer service.
• Identify, source, and recommend the correct parts using manufacturer catalogs and dealership software.
• Process parts orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
• Receive, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments.
• Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely parts availability for repairs.
• Follow up on special orders and communicate status updates to customers and internal departments.
• Process returns, warranties, and core returns according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department.
• Meet dealership and manufacturer performance standards.
