Job summary

BRAM Auto Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Counter professional for the Rt 22 Honda location in Hillside, NJ. The role offers full-time hours with pay dependent on experience and a pathway to growth within a family-owned dealer group serving NY/NJ for 50+ years.

You will assist retail and wholesale customers, leverage parts knowledge, and provide accurate pricing and availability. Training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in auto parts or dealership settings is preferred but training is possible.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide excellent customer care at the counter and over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person or by phone.
• Use parts knowledge to assist team members with customer questions.

We are looking for an experienced Parts Counter Person for our RT 22 Honda location! Entry-Level candidates are welcome to apply!

What you will be doing:

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for our retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter/over the phone
• Use your parts knowledge to assist other team members answer questions for customers
• Providing outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who comes into our Store!
• Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced stores
• Welcome retail customers into our retail stores and engage to provide a positive consumer experience
• Use technology (computer), telephone, and Web-Based Catalog System .
• Provide parts pricing and availability to our customers.
• Make accurate selections of parts needed for customer demand.
• Follow management requests and instructions.

PAY DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE LEVEL

What you’ll need:

• Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving History.
• Previous Parts Experience at a dealership is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Previous wholesale experience with Honda parts preferred
• High School Diploma or GED. Technical or Trade school courses or degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great listening skills and empathy for customers
• Ability to adapt and maintain composure under certain circumstances.
• Bring solutions and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Work in a team environment and collaborate with others

And if you have this, even better:

• ASE Certifications
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision.
• Knowledge of Dealership Management System, CDK a plus.
• Entirely customer-centric (external/internal)
