Job summary

Billion Automotive in Sioux Falls, SD, is hiring a full-time Automotive Paint Prep Technician to prepare parts, sand, and mask for paint projects. You will follow SOPs for sealants and coatings, maintain tools, and track time/materials in the shop system while upholding quality standards and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has strong hand skills, attention to detail, a valid driver's license, and at least six months' experience in manufacturing or general industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform part preparation by cleaning, sanding, and masking.
• Keep paint areas neat and clean.
• Ensure compliance with sign-offs and quality specifications.
• Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
• Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paint strippers and corrosion-preventive chemicals and use protective equipment as required.
• Utilize the company's system to accurately track time and materials for customer jobs.
