Job summary

RIDE Coach and Bus is seeking an experienced painter to handle all paint preparation for vehicles and related assembly tasks. You will prime, edge, and help replace parts while following engineering instructions and quality standards.

Applicants should have at least five years of automotive painting experience, be able to read blueprints, and operate hand and power tools safely. This role requires adherence to PPE and safety procedures in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years painting in automotive industry preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints or engineering docs.
• Must be able to follow work instructions and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform paint preparation per work instructions and perform priming, edging, or part replacement as needed.
• Measure and align components using tape, levels, and squares per Engineering docs.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely during paint prep and application.
• Mix and apply primers, polyurethane, epoxy, and clear coats; maintain spray guns.
• Mask, tape, sand, buff, and inspect surfaces to ensure quality finishes.
• Work with paint system products (Axalta, PPG) as required.
