Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automotive packaging, container design, rack design, or material handling engineering.
• Experience designing returnable containers, sequence racks, repack racks, or other racking systems used in automotive manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of pack density optimization, including maximizing parts per container and reducing packaging and transportation costs.
• Experience supporting the implementation of racking systems on the plant floor, including safety and ergonomic reviews.
• Ability to analyze material flow and develop continuous improvement solutions for existing packaging and container systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, improve, and implement automotive packaging solutions to optimize material flow.
• Evaluate racks, containers, and sequencing systems to boost pack density and reduce costs.
• Lead projects for container and rack improvements within manufacturing environments.
• Coordinate safety and ergonomic reviews and validate designs in production.
• Support plant integration of new racking systems and ensure smooth rollouts.
