Job Description

Automotive Mechanic/Technician

Pay: $20 - $40 per hour. Pay varies based on experience and certifications. The role includes additional compensation and incentives.

As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you will perform diagnosis, repair, and maintenance on guest vehicles, starting with comprehensive training. You will be an essential team member, working to deliver excellent guest experiences and ensuring vehicle safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and other automotive repairs within your qualification.
• Secure guest approval before performing work, maintain a clean work area.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and perform necessary repairs.
• Test drive vehicles and use shop resources responsibly.
• Collaborate and provide leadership to team members.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive technician experience
• Valid Driver License
• Own a basic set of automotive tools or participate in the tool purchase program
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand long periods, lift 50 lbs.
• Guest and team-focused mindset
• Maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certification in at least one area (A1-A8)
• Automotive Technician State Inspector License
• Technical school certificate or degree
