Job summary

Auto Plus in Metairie, LA is seeking an Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services, while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses to customers and coworkers and stay updated with evolving automotive technology.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of repair experience, ASE certifications preferred, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
• ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5).
• Section 609 certification preferred.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willing to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications in brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment.
• Perform maintenance services and assist other technicians as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology through training.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area and follow policies.
