Job Description

Done Right Diesel LLC is seeking skilled diesel mechanics responsible for maintenance and repair of diesel and gas vehicles, including inspections and diagnostics. Repairs range from basic preventative maintenance to in-frame and transmission repairs. We prioritize customer satisfaction to foster repeat business.

Job Expectations:

• Tune engines for optimal performance and efficiency.
• Service air conditioning, heating, engine cooling, and electrical systems.
• Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Overhaul engines by repairing or replacing pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Plan work procedures using charts, manuals, and experience.
• Follow checklists to examine belts, hoses, steering, spark plugs, brakes, fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other critical components.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups.
• Troubleshoot fuel, ignition, and emissions systems with electronic testing equipment.
• Review work orders and coordinate with supervisors.
• Perform brake repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
• Test and adjust systems to meet manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and document findings for repairs.
• Test drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience with light duty diesel engines such as Cummins, Duramax, Power Stroke.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Own basic tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift 60+ lbs., stand, walk, climb, push, and pull.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, and temperature extremes.

Additional Skills (Not Required):

• Knowledge of DEF and DPF systems.
• Experience with HPCR and HEUI diesel engines.
• Engine teardown to POF.
