Position Details:

• Up to $34.00 per hour, based on experience
• Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm
• $5,000 Sign-On Bonus and $1,000 Tool Allowance per year

Position Purpose:

We value the safety of our associates! The Diesel Technician - Class B keeps our associates safe by repairing, maintaining, and overhauling all company fleet diesel equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and convertor dollies with minimal supervision.
• Completes repairs, inspections, and identifies root causes of failures.
• Ensures equipment has required licensing and registration.
• Documents work orders thoroughly in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Installs, replaces, and repairs onboard computers.
• Inspects brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other parts, replacing as needed.
• Performs routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, using hand and power tools.
• Provides training or guidance to other mechanics.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventive maintenance, tire & wheel, brakes, diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates or Technical Degree, Vocational/Trade School Diploma

5-7 years of experience in similar repairs, with certifications in tire & wheel, brakes, AC/EPA, DOT inspections, transmissions, engines, ASE Heavy Duty preferred.
