Job summary

Atlantic Auto Group in Long Island is seeking experienced Automotive Technicians to join a high-volume, union shop environment. You will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs with a focus on world-class customer service.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of hands-on experience, NYS driver’s license, and ASE/OEM training or equivalent certification. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement within a large, multi-brand dealer group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on automotive technician experience.
• ASE certifications and/or OEM training preferred.
• Certification as a NY State Inspector is a plus.
• B, A, or Master-level technician qualifications strongly preferred.
• Broad mechanical and electrical knowledge across various vehicle systems.
• Valid and unrestricted New York State driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional appearance.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Must be highly organized, reliable, and capable of following directions.
• Must pass drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting based on experience, testing, and manufacturer standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on automobiles and light trucks.
• Replace or top off fluids, filters, and maintenance-related parts as needed.
• Accurately document repair findings, work performed, and parts used.
• Recommend additional repairs as needed while managing customer expectations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all shop safety, environmental, and procedural standards.
• Participate in required training sessions, meetings, and development programs.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles while in service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

An unrestricted NYS driver's license and a clean driving record and strong physical dexterity and stamina to get the job done are required. Candidates must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world-class customer service.

Salary Expectations

$29- $32 plus incentives B Tech ($65,000----$85,000)

$34-$ 38 plus incentives -Master Tech ($85,000 - $120,000)
