Job summary

The Atlantic Auto Group, a leading automotive group, is expanding its Service Department on Long Island. We are seeking Diesel Engine Experienced Service Professionals to join our team in a union shop with room for advancement.

You must pass a drug test and background check and hold a valid New York driver's license. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for ongoing training and career growth.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications required.
• New York driver's license with clean driving record required.
• Ability to diagnose issues based on experience and testing.
• Broad automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge.
• Must pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Check fluids and maintenance parts and replace as needed.
• Diagnose issues based on experience and testing.
• Follow shop policies, safety, and environmental rules.
• Manage repairs by setting customer expectations.
• Perform routine service inspections and maintenance jobs.
• Repair automobiles and light trucks as assigned.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Checks all fluids and maintenance-related parts and tops-off or replaces fluids or filters/parts as required
• Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing
• Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
• Makes repair recommendations and manages delivery of repairs by setting and managing customer expectations
• Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs
• Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned
• Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
• Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
• Follows all safety and security procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• ASE certifications
• Certification as a state inspector a plus
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• B- or C-level qualifications
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
• Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Must be reliable and able to follow directions
• Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
• Must have a valid and clean NY state driver's license
• Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check
• Must be able to pass a license/motor vehicle record check
