Job summary

Astemo is seeking a dynamic engineer to join our production-focused team in Ohio. This hands-on role involves solving equipment challenges on the shop floor and driving improvements within cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a four-year engineering degree (mechanical or industrial) with 2–5 years of related experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to present technical data clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree (mechanical or industrial) required.
• 2–5 years related work experience in engineering.
• High emphasis on cross-functional teamwork and communication.
• Experience with design for production, poka-yokes, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe production floor operations and report safety issues.
• Resolve production equipment concerns on a daily basis.
• Lead multiple concurrent projects from concept through implementation.
• Develop and deliver presentations on recommended solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors, staff and management on specifications and status.
• Address quality issues with engineered countermeasures.
