Job summary

Astemo Americas, Inc. seeks a senior manufacturing and operations leader with a mechanical engineering background to drive design for manufacturability and execution in high‑volume assembly environments.

The position requires a four‑year mechanical degree with extensive experience, or two‑year degree with substantial experience, or no degree with significant tenure. CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, SolidEdge, SolidWorks, CATIA) and cross‑functional leadership are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Four-year mechanical engineering degree with 7+ years relevant experience, or two-year degree with 15+ years, or no degree with 20+ years.
• Automotive background required, with preference towards high-volume assembly operations.
• CAD experience: AutoCAD is a must; SolidEdge, SolidWorks or CATIA highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Astemo’s Safety Policy and report any potential unsafe condition or concern to the Safety department immediately and/or to your direct supervisor.
• Develop, track, and maintain capital and expense budgets to support executive management control of the business operation relative to approved activities.
• Track and maintain control of all projects in terms of safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Coordinate and support PE department 5S activity and develop departmental staff for future growth.
• Maintain cross-functional teamwork and ensure accessibility for associates questions and concerns.
