Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Manager II, Manufacturing & Process Development Engineering, to lead a team responsible for developing molds and manufacturing processes for SPC plugs and mold-and-ship components across Automotive Americas plants in Hermosillo, Empalme, and Greensboro. Location: Winston-Salem, NC.

You will drive Lean implementation, DFMs, process qualification, and cross-functional collaboration with Product Development, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure smooth transitions from

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering, manufacturing, or process-development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding and automated assembly in automotive.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma and continuous-improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of molding and plug assembly manufacturing processes aligned with LEAN/PD product-development requirements.
• Drive excellence in existing manufacturing technologies, methods, and process controls.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing technologies that improve process capability, tolerance control, quality, and productivity.
• Partner with Product Development to optimize product designs for manufacturability (DFM), including part design, sample tooling, product samples, and prototypes.
• Direct your team through the design, develop, and qualification phases of tooling and manufacturing processes that meet TE North America Automotive design, quality, and production standards.
• Support Supply Chain and supplier-development activities by verifying supplier process compliance, manufacturing capability, and readiness.
• Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, equipment needs, and workspace layouts to maximize manufacturing efficiency.
