The City of Baltimore is seeking an Automotive Maintenance Worker to perform safety checks on vehicles and assist mechanics in maintenance and repair tasks. The role requires working in a shop environment, following instructions, and readiness for shift and weekend work in Baltimore, MD.

Applicants must have one year of automotive maintenance experience or equivalent coursework, plus a valid Maryland driver’s license.

Competenze

Experience: Have one year of experience in automotive maintenance or repair work.
Equivalency Notes: One year of required coursework in an automotive mechanic curriculum may substitute for six months of experience.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certificates: Have a valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver’s license or an equivalent driver’s license and eligible to obtain a Baltimore City driver’s permit (Provisional licenses not acceptable).

Perform safety checks on vehicles and assist mechanics in installation, maintenance and repair work.
Work in an automotive shop with dirty, greasy conditions and fumes.
Possess the ability to work shifts, weekends, and be subject to call-back.
Adhere to instructions and maintain safe work practices.
