Job summary

Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is hiring an Automotive Maintenance Worker to perform safety checks on vehicles and assist mechanics with installation, maintenance and repair work. The role requires ability to work in an automotive shop, tolerate dirty and greasy conditions, and perform moderate physical exertion.

A valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license is required, with city permit eligibility. Shift and weekend work may apply.

Qualifications

• Have one year of experience in automotive maintenance or repair work.
• Equivalency notes: one year of coursework in automotive mechanics may substitute for six months of experience.
• Must have a valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver’s license or an equivalent license and eligible to obtain a Baltimore City driver’s permit; provisional licenses are not acceptable.
