The position requires substantial automotive servicing experience and teaching capability, with responsibilities spanning student advising, program evaluation, and industry collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Automotive Servicing or related field; plan to obtain within five years.
• Seven years of automotive service field experience preferred; teaching experience within last five years acceptable.
• One year of teaching experience or equivalent two semesters full-time is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and perform teaching-related activities.
• Manage the classroom/laboratory.
• Develop curriculum and monitor course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
• Manage equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Assess student performance and advise on academic issues.
• Collaborate with advisory committee in program area.
• Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
• Promote program, recruit and retain students, and market MATC.
• Support student organizations and activities.
• Develop relationships with business and industry.
• Complete program evaluation and follow-up.
