Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach Automotive Servicing within the Manufacturing, Construction, and Transportation Pathway. Start is Spring 2026; courses run Mon-Fri across Wisconsin campuses; 0.5 FTE with state-wide responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will hold ASE Master Technician certification with related credentials, an automotive-related degree, and college-level teaching experience.

Qualifications

  • Requires at least an Associate degree in Automotive Servicing or related field; or HS diploma with plan to obtain an Associate degree within five years.
  • Minimum seven years of full-time equivalent experience as an Automotive Service Technician in a professional setting.
  • Must hold ASE Master Technician certification in areas A1-A8 & G1, plus 609 MVAC or equivalent, with plan to complete ASE A1-A8 & G1 and 609 MVAC within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and deliver instruction and related teaching activities.
  • Manage classroom and laboratory.
  • Develop curriculum and monitor/course evaluation for effectiveness.
  • Assess student performance and advise on academic issues.
  • Promote program and recruit/retain students; engage with business and industry.
