Job summary

Nissan is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Intern in Canton, MS, for a 12-week, full‑time program to gain hands‑on experience with manufacturing equipment, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement in Trim and Chassis operations.

You’ll work with experienced engineers, analyze data, and support installation, commissioning, and planning activities while developing key engineering and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Junior or Senior year starting next term.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• GPA 3.0 or above; transcript required.
• Ability to work onsite in Canton, MS.

Responsibilities

• Support equipment reliability initiatives to improve manufacturing performance, uptime, and efficiency.
• Assist with equipment installation and commissioning projects within Trim and Chassis operations.
• Analyze maintenance and production data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in strategic planning activities related to equipment performance and future manufacturing needs.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and cross‑functional teams to support continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports and engineering documentation communicating project findings and recommendations.
