Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming term.
• Ability to take initiative and work proactively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles with a process-improvement mindset.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• GPA of 3.0 or above; transcripts may be required.
• Ability to perform work onsite in Canton, MS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct elemental analyses of assigned production zones and work areas to assess current operating conditions and performance.
• Analyze production and labor data to identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost reductions.
• Develop action plans and recommendations based on findings and present them to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to support implementation of improvement initiatives.
• Assist with labor planning, capacity analysis, and continuous improvement projects across the facility.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation to communicate project progress and results.
