Job summary

Capgemini seeks a Senior Engineering Program Manager for Low Voltage Electronics in Newark, CA. This on-site contract role leads cross-functional automotive programs, driving hardware development from concept through production with Tier 1 suppliers and aligned with OEM requirements.

The role requires 5+ years managing low voltage electronics, automotive standards experience, and strong program-management skills. Occasional travel up to 20% is expected; JIRA/Confluence/3DX expertise is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in leading and managing technical projects involving low voltage electronics which include audio, device charging, and low voltage power delivery.
• 5+ years of active contribution in the design, specification and implementation of complex product features.
• A proven track record of development and delivery of technical systems and/or product features.
• Experience building, developing, and managing highly effective program management tools and processes.
• Knowledge of automotive and safety standards (e.g. ISO26262, IATF 16949 etc.)
• Available for occasional business travel within and outside of the US. (10-20%)
• Experience with Atlassian Software (JIRA , Confluence) and 3DX.

Responsibilities

• Leads automotive cross-functional projects/programs, ensuring timelines, budgets, and technical specs are met.
• Leads inhouse designs with cross functional teams to develop and deliver hardware on schedule.
• Manages relationships with Tier 1 suppliers to source critical components and ensure OEM requirements and production timelines.
• Drives end-to-end development from technical requirements to series production maintenance aligned with vehicle programs.
• Accompanies vehicle programs from concept to production start and market introduction, including model upgrades.
