Job summary

Napleton Volkswagen of Sanford seeks a License and Title Clerk to support the sales team by processing vehicle registrations, titles, and related tax documents. The role ensures accuracy and timely processing of title work in a fast-paced automotive setting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years+ License & Title experience preferred
• Automotive dealership experience preferred
• Knowledge of CDK/ADP Dealer Service system preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to undergo a background check
• 18+ years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Processes all vehicles for registration in the state they will be titled.
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Submits all legal transfer work to the DMV.
• Verifies funds and lien payoff before processing titles.
• Checks for accuracy in applications and completeness.
• Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trades.
• Bills dealer trades and prepares Certificates of Origin.
• Maintains system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Maintains a list of outstanding title work and reports status monthly.

Located at Napleton Volkswagen of Sanford,the License and Title Clerk is an important role that assists our sales teams by processing vehicle for registration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Processes all vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
• Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
• Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
• Bills out all dealer trades and prepares Certificates of Origin.
• Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the comptroller at the end of month.

Job Requirements:

• 1-3 years+ of License & Title experience PreferredAutomotive Dealership experience
• Knowledge of CDK/ADP Dealer Service system strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
